about this ebook

The question of segmenting users based on behavior analysis, as opposed to their demographics, comes down to what you’re trying to answer. If you want to know if a certain type of industry churns more regularly than others, demographic data will work fine. What we loved:

This free guide to segmenting users and customers by their in-app behavior is brief, but we think it feels valuable for true beginners

What we didn't love:

The page on "getting started" feels like it barely qualifies as that, with only 2 very broad steps; overall this little ebook felt light on actionable details

Summary:

Skip this one if you're after an in-depth look at behavioral segmentation for SaaS — you won't find that here. But it's a decent overview for newer product people who aren't too familiar with the concept. Aside from laying out the benefits of behavioral vs demographic segmentation, we say there's just enough here to point you down the right path. But that's about it.
