about this ebook

That electronic signatures have been valid for the past 20 years is a true bureaucratic feat. But it can take time for an enterprise to get up to speed, considering the need to bridge technologies, vendors, and suppliers. Enter: a crash course on moving your organization and partners to e-signatures. Aside from usefulness across industries and enhanced privacy and security, e-signing is easy and convenient. Getting started is as simple as uploading a document, indicating where info and signatures are needed, choosing how to authenticate it (from predetermined options), and sending it to the recipient. When they get it, they simply verify their identity, fill it out, and return their submission.

In situations where e-signatures are legal and valid, when (if ever) does it make sense to go traditional instead?

What we loved:

The information. Electronic signatures are a somewhat new development, and things like legality and security are issues that anyone signing a document would worry about.

What we didn't love:

There was a little too much self-promotion for our liking

Summary:

This free ebook on electronic signatures is short and simple. The layout is clean, if sparse, and the information is targeted narrowly to e-signatures. There was some stuff we didn’t know about electronic signatures (verification), some stuff we weren’t sure about (legality), and some stuff we probably should have pieced together (the cost savings).

For how short this free ebook is, it’s a bit promotional for our liking, but if you can look past that, it’s definitely worth a read, especially if you’ve ever sent or signed something electronically (which is everyone these days).
